It was in a playground. Franco, my two-year old boy, skipped and hopped inside the play area completely oblivious to my voice.
“Franco! It’s time to go!” I called. He smiled at me and continued his playtime.
I pretended to leave. He kept playing.
I said “goodbye” and then hid behind the gate. He just kept playing.
I mimicked an echo to simulate what sounded like me leaving the play area. He kept playing still.
Then it dawned on me: Franco was just so confident that no matter what he does, his father will never leave him. He knew that I would stay. He knew that I loved him so much that I couldn’t bear to leave him behind.
How I wish we have the same confidence when it comes to God. That no matter what happens, our confidence should be that our Heavenly Father will never leave us…that He will…
