Finally, the season of my craziness is over. After the West Coast 200K, Tagaytay to Nasugbu 50K Run, BDM 160K and BDM 102, it’s time to the halt the crazy engines in my legs (and in my brains).
Here’s what happens when my unstoppable self goes on rest…..
I celebrate with fellow crazies who deserve a break as well
It was a night to recognize finishers, podium finishers and special awardees…
I eat, eat and eat….
100 Miles Cafe
Jael, one of the seasoned ultramarathoners and a guy I look up to in the sports invited me for a taste test of the menu at 100 Miles Cafe.
100 Miles Cafe is a cafe/resto which will soon open in Fort. There will be a wall solely dedicated to endurance athletes – with race tarps, trophies, race bibs, memorabilias on display. The menu will be a mix of food ideal for recovery, carbo-loading, protein-loading. or simply loading….Yes, it also serves those sinfully delicious food choices you deserve after a race or training. Great conversation is what it offers as well, hanging out with fellow endurance athletes who are sure to flock in the cafe (I heard they’ll have lockers and shower rooms.)
For those who are not into endurance sports, it won’t be as intimidating as it sounds. It is encouraging, you might even step out and say…Maybe, I’ll run my first mile tonight…
Balducci
Another place I’d usually hang out is this Italian resto nestled by the entrance of Serendra…
I make sure I catch up with friends…

Great time to catch up with friends for belated birthday dinner. (Sorry Patty, your birthday always falls on race day)
And celebrate friends’ greatest moments

My favorite Crossfit Couple: Marts and Camille. I owe most of my PRs at Crossfit to Marts shouting at me “It’s all you!!!”

And what comes with the Calm…is a time to wear my sister Mimi’s creation that I’m absolutely proud to wear. If only, she has something for running 🙂
It has been a great recovery week, doing absolutely nothing sports related.
